Worship
The experience of worship begins in God's Word. We explore the meaning of scripture for our lives through prayer, song, and witnessing. The most sacred acts of Holy Communion and Holy Baptism are at the heart of our response to God. At First Church, we do not just talk about God in worship, we meet God in worship. All persons, regardless of background, are welcome to come and join in the on-going conversation with God.
Childcare offered at all worship experiences. Dress as you feel comfortable.
The 8:30 a.m. Sunday Worship Experience is a quiet service of hearing God's Word, of prayer, and song. Music is more traditional, offered in a simple, quiet style, encouraging congregational singing. This service seeks and finds God in the sacred experience of silence and spiritual presence.
The 10:45 a.m. Sunday Worship Experience is a gathering of excited Christians who share their faith actively through praise songs, hymns, drama, readings, and witnessing. Music is a combination of traditional and contemporary, with a chancel choir and praise band complimenting one another. This service seeks and finds God through active praise and spiritual energy.
