Children
Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." Matt 19:14 (NIV)
At Scott City UMC we believe that Children are a blessing from God. We provide a wide variety of opportunities for Children to hear and learn the stories of the Bible. Additionally, Children are given the chance to apply these lessons in small mission projects such as raising funds for Heifer International, outreach to shut-ins and food for the local Bread Basket. Through these opportunities we pray that the foundation will be laid for a life of discipleship.
Sunday School meets every Sunday at 9:30 a.m.
- Nursery care is available for Children up to the age of 2 years old.
- "Little Blessings" is for Children age 2 and 3 years old.
- "God Zone" is for Children age 4 years old through 2nd Grade.
- "Upper Room" is for Children in 3rd, 4th and 5th Grade.
Higher Ground meets every Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. for a light meal and activities start at 6:00 p.m.
- Nursery care is available for Children up to the age of 4 years old.
- "Jesus and Me" (J.A.M.) is for Children 4 years old through 2nd Grade.
- "Team J" is Children in 3rd, 4th and 5th Grade.
Golden Rule Preschool is in session during the USD 466 school year. This State Certified Preschool provides a Christian based curriculum for Children ages 3 and 4 years old. Please check out their web-page on our website under Preschool.
Vacation Bible School is a special four day event which is normally scheduled the week after Memorial Day. Please check our Event Calender for exact dates.
